Brentwood Police Department Welcomes Two New Officers

On Aug. 18, the city officially welcomed these highly skilled officers into the Department when Mayor Nelson Andrews administered their oaths of office.

12th Annual Battle of the Badges Blood Drive Set for Aug. 20

This year, we are proud to honor the memory of WCSO Detention Deputy Robert Andrew Ryan during the Williamson County Battle of the Badges Blood Drive on Wednesday, Aug. 20, at the John P. Holt Brentwood Library in Brentwood. Deputy Ryan lost his life due to injuries sustained in an off-duty vehicle accident earlier this summer.

  • Indian Burial Mound From 900 A.D. to about 1450 A.D. , a group of prehistoric Native Americans lived in the Brentwood area. It is assumed that two waves of migration occurred during that time with both living at some point on what is now known as Primm Historic Park. From 900-1050, those living there are known as the Mound Builders.
  • School and Park History Primm Historic Park contains some of the most important historical and cultural resources in Tennessee. As urban areas grow, historical sites are quickly disappearing. This park in particular is a microcosm of Tennessee history representing prehistoric Native American culture and education of the 1800’s.   • Brentwood Urban Growth Boundary The City of Brentwood, along with Williamson County, Franklin, Fairview, Nolensville, Spring Hill, and Thompson’s Station are all working to update the Williamson County Growth Plan. Brentwood is currently evaluating its Urban Growth Boundary (UGB), which is a defined area beyond the city limits in which the City of Brentwood could grow into overtime.

  • Water Services The Water Services Department includes staff who manage Brentwood’s Water and Sewer Systems. The City of Brentwood does not operate water or sewer treatment plants. Instead the City coordinates with several utilities such as the Harpeth Valley Utility District and Metro Water Services for our drinking water.

  • Deerwood Arboretum and Nature Center Deerwood showcases native trees, migratory birds, butterflies and other wildlife. The park features bike paths and jogging trails, ponds, a wildflower meadow and a Nature Center Complex with an outdoor classroom. There are also restrooms, information kiosks and a small amphitheater. An educational curriculum is available for use by schools and service groups.
